'Dracula' featuring Jennie rebounds to No. 6 on Hot 100

"Dracula," a collaboration single between Australian act Tame Impala and BLACKPINK's Jennie, has rebounded to No. 6 on the Billboard Hot 100 main singles chart. The track climbed six spots from the previous week, extending its run in the top 10 to 20 consecutive weeks, according to the latest chart released Tuesday (U.S. time). Originally released as a solo track by Tame Impala in October last year, "Dracula" gained renewed traction after a remix featuring Jennie was released in February, going viral on short-form video platforms and climbing up the rankings. The song peaked at No. 5 on the Hot 100. Elsewhere on the Hot 100, K-pop girl group Katseye's "Animal" ranked No. 32, down two spots from the previous week. On the Billboard 200, the main albums chart, boy group Stray Kids' "This & That" ranked No. 29. The original soundtrack for the Netflix hit animation "KPop Demon Hunters" and Katseye's "Wild" placed No. 37 and No. 39, respectively. K-pop supergroup BTS' fifth full-length album, "ARIRANG," ranked 43th, staying on the chart for a 29th consecutive week. Boy group Enhypen's "The Sin:

Hebron's 'House of Green' makes it out of his family group chat

Singer-songwriter Hebron, the solo folk project of MGFF vocalist Byun Ha-eun, has opened the doors to “House of Green,” his first full-length album released Sept. 15. A collection of songs written over the course of a decade, the 13-track album traces the artist’s experiences of the world after “stepping out of his house” — comprising stories of love, separation and longing. It features the 2024 single “Anchor,” alongside long-unreleased fan favorites such as “Greeting” and “Honestly.” He also released a physical edition Oct. 6, featuring additional tracks including “Window” and “Home,” bringing the total to 20 songs. “The overarching themes of this record simply couldn’t be captured in anything less than a full-length format,” he told The Korea Times. “I believe these tracks could only truly become the ‘House of Green’ when gathered together.” “House of Green,” a theme that Hebron had been eager to explore for a long time, “is actually the name of our family’s group chat.” It was taken from a scene in a film his mother watched when

Ha Jung-woo, Cha Jung-won to marry in December

Actors Ha Jung-woo and Cha Jung-won are set to tie the knot in December. An official from Ha's agency, Workhouse Company, told Xportsnews on Wednesday that the two will marry on Dec. 13 at "an undisclosed location in Seoul." The wedding will be held privately, according to the official. Ha and Cha first met in 2020 and maintained a low-profile relationship for about six years, initially as colleagues in the entertainment industry and later as a couple. Their relationship became public earlier this year after reports emerged that they were dating. The pair subsequently confirmed their relationship, ending years of keeping their romance largely out of the public eye. The wedding announcement comes with a touch of irony. When marriage rumors surfaced in July, the couple had drawn a line under speculation that a wedding was imminent. They are now set to make it official just five months later. Ha, born in 1978, made his film debut in "Madeleine" in 2002 and has since become one of Korea's best-known film actors. His major works include "The Chaser," "Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time," "The

'Train to Busan' director builds low-budget paradise to test human existence

Director Yeon Sang-ho said his latest low-budget psychological thriller "Paradise Lost" explores human identity, the double-edged nature of filling a loss and a story written by his mother. The director explained that the movie uses artificial intelligence (AI) technology to examine human existence and emotional boundaries, rather than simply warning about its dangers. "Trying to replace what you've lost always has two sides," Yeon told The Korea Times at a cafe in Seoul on Wednesday, recalling how he often discussed existential literature, such as Albert Camus' "The Stranger," during his college years. "The main character So-young's choices may or may not be emotionally understandable to viewers by the end, but I think that gap creates a necessary story in today's AI-driven world." The film centers on So-young (Kim Hyun-joo), a mother trapped in grief nine years after her son Sun-woo went missing along with 12 other children on a school bus. To endure her pain, she interacts daily with a virtual version of her child through an augmented reality program. However, she collapses when a grow

Sex toy firm CEO, conservative marketer spark romance in 'Make Me Tingle'

A sex toy company CEO and a conservatively raised marketer with strict traditional values are set to clash in Tving's upcoming original series "Make Me Tingle." The romantic comedy centers on the hilarious and heartwarming growth of two people with opposing views on intimacy: a woman who refuses to have sex without love, and a man who is perfectly fine having sex without it. Nam Ji-hyun stars as Gong Yeon-su, an eldest daughter raised in a strictly traditional Korean head family. Despite her conservative upbringing, she works as a sharp, trend-conscious advertising marketer. Kim Jae-young plays Dokgo Dal, the CEO of an adult toy startup who values both emotional connection and physical chemistry. When asked how the production team approached adult toys without falling into sensationalism or alienating audiences, director Kim Ye-ji emphasized tone control. "While sex toys are becoming more mainstream these days, we made a point not to try too hard to be 'cool' about it," Kim explained during a press conference at the Stanford Hotel Seoul in Mapo District, Wednesday. "Instead of leaning in
